Abstract
|
This study investigates on the initiative and feasibility in countering fraud in the insurance industry of Malaysia at a company level. Significant holes and weaknesses of research in regards to this topic as fraud matters are still being treated taboo thus seldom discussed due to Malaysian cultural environment. While issues about fraud in Malaysia have been studied, they are only focused on mitigation and countering from the economic perspective without involving any authority. This research will be applying multiple interviews and observations within few selected companies. This is to facilitate collaborative work of the companies selected which are important and vital in evaluating the process of countering fraud.
