Abstract
|
The objective of this project paper is aimed to study on hindrance of Lean Six Sigma implementation on Company XYZ which is a manufacturing firm of automotive part. The study helps the company to seek the hidden problems for deploying the Lean Six Sigma as part of continual improvement. A number of literatures in this study serve as useful background information of the tools as well as the other companies’ factors of success and failure. A survey was conducted among the chosen respondents and all necessary data and
information were collected via a specific designed questionnaire which involved mainly quantitative analyses followed by qualitative type which are aimed at answering the specific research questions framed in this paper. The survey covers five perspectives which are organization infrastructure, management leadership, process and production control, employee involvement and business and quality performance. The result of survey is analyzed by using three statistical tools and is presented which indicate that there are improvements needed in organization infrastructure, management leadership style and level of employee involvement. After consolidating the findings, the study ends with some strategic
recommendations and the entire research project has taken about nearly five months to complete and it begin in Jan. and end in May 2018.
