Abstract
|
E-commerce offers opportunities to companies to expand their business to worldwide without boundaries limitation. The massive growth of online shopping is impressive especially the 11th November e-commerce day break the sales record. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand Malaysian consumer's behaviour and draw the recommendations for SMEs. As conclusion, the consumers in Malaysia agreed that the online shopping may reduce the time and convenience. However, the investigation also found that consumers in Malaysia still feel unsecure with the e-commerce transactions and not confidence with the product quality from the website description. Negative comment will influence their online shopping decision. However, the intention of this study is to identify success factors from the giant e-commerce company like Alibaba and Groupon. Then conduct the research using the factors to understand Malaysia consumers. The study might contribute to the SMEs for a better understanding for e-commerce and understand the factors and concerns of the online consumers. They could improve from the issues and learn from the success e-commerce company.
