Abstract
|
The purpose of this study is to explore some of the different variables that influence the decline in interest of homework among 21st century learners. The study seeks to answer questions that focus on how do students’ react to the idea or concept of homework, how do parents or stakeholders play a role in monitoring the completion and quality of homework provided to their children by teachers’ in school, and does student-centred learning and its activities in class defeat the purpose of providing homework to students in current time. The goal of this research is to review and analyse these problems and determine whether or not the influence of students’ behaviour, parental/stakeholders’ supervision, teacher motivation, and theoretical frameworks or traditional and conventional methods of homework are the key factors that affect the decline in interest of homework among 21st century learners.
