Abstract
|
This study examines the degree of impact towards the key industries. Using sample from 2011 to 2015 by using regression analysis method. Notably, our findings are: First, there is no correlation for SST/GST rates and Years for both Malaysia and Singapore. Second, there is correlation for the GDP Per Capita (USD) and Years for both Malaysia and Singapore. Third, changes in GST rates for both Malaysia and Singapore throughout the years are minimal or almost remain the same. Fourth, changes in GDP Per Capita does not have much effect in determine the GST rates. The findings have great implications for the regional policy makers.
