English language is considered a vital in the global communication,and out of the four English language skills which are both speaking and written English skills are essential un the world. Teaching English speaking skill to Taiwanese students has always been a very challenging task for Taiwanese local teachers because it is considered as a foreign language, which is not widely spoken or used in everyday interactions. The main objective of this paper is to investigate those difficulties encountered by English language students in Taiwan elementary school. The main finding from interview survey were included Taiwan elementary school' students were in mixed approaches, which is qualitative and quantitative approach. The main findings from from interview survey were included Taiwan elementary school' students were in mixed proficiency, insufficient time for English lesson, shortage of qualified English teachers, remedial teaching after lesson provided, role play and competition conducted and supportive teaching materials provided. questionnaireprovided. Furthermore, the findings from questionnaire with students were included student English speaking ability, students speaking English in the class, internal and external difficulties in speaking English as well as perceptions about specific strategies using by teachers.
