Abstract
|
The general objective of this study is to investigate the factors that influence consumer purchasing behaviours in Ipoh automotive market. Therefore this study intends to find out whether the car price, disposable income ,safety, fuel efficiency and finance availability may influence the consumers in Ipoh automotive market. A cross-sectional design is being used in this study. The research is based on quantitative approach to examine the various factors affecting the consumers behaviours in Ipoh automobile market. The questionaires are being distributed to 100 respondents for the purpose of collecting primary data. The results collected are coded and analysed using MS Excel. Descriptive statistics like frequencies distribution, percentages, means, modes, medians, standard deviations are being used to analyze the data . From the results the study concluded that price, disposable income, safety, fuel efficiency and finance availability are the factors which relevant to the intention of automotive purchasing behaviours in Ipoh. Among them ,disposable income and safety features are the two most important factors. This clearly indicates that the purchasing power in Ipoh are strongly related to the income level of the residents in Ipoh. However the study also indicated that the consumers have no tolerance on the safety features provided by the automotive manufacturers.
