Staff turnover has been always a key concern issued faced by organisation
regardless of its locations, sizes, natures of business and business strategy and staff
turnover is known to be costly to organisation in which the productivity and
quality of the products or services are always negatively affected. Leadership
styles (transformational and transactional), job satisfaction and turnover intention
of academic staff have been identified in this research in view of the foreseeable
undesirable impacts and expected destruction from staff turnover in particularly to
a non-profit oriented community-funded college.A quantitative research method
was adopted in this research. The result has revealed a stronger and significant
positive relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction as
compared to transactional leadership. In addition, significant negative association
was found between job satisfaction and turnover intention of the participants
