Abstract
|
Teaching assistants has played a prominent role in schools to assist students learning in many countries. Here in Malaysia, teaching assistants are only seen in private schools with limited understanding towards their roles and responsibility as defined in their job description that are published on employment websites. To assume that teaching assistants are the same across the globe is disastrous as some countries have longer history of requiring teaching assistants in the classroom and a much lower expectation in their work and education background. This research follows a deployment of a group of Malaysian teaching assistants at an international school.
