Title Job satisfaction among bank's employees in Penang / Azhar Mohd Amin
Abstract The purpose of this study to investigate factors affecting job satisfaction among banks employees in Penang Island. This study seeks to examine the relative effects of demographic and environmental factors that affect the level of job satisfaction. An instrument of literature reviews was adopted from various sources for this study. The sample comprises of 120 respondents of all ranks of banks employees. The questionnaire is design with 25 questions covering both independent and dependent variables. Questionnaire is administered within one month of distribution and collection. The result reveals that job satisfaction is not entire dependent to specific independent variables however it various from different cultures and background of the people and organizations. In this study it showed that supervision and pay/rewards/salary has least impact compared to other variables. It is recommended that a similar study be conducted in near future and on different time on job satisfaction. Similar study should be conducted using sample from other industries or sectors and the impact on job satisfaction can be compared.
