Abstract
|
The purpose of this study is to examine how significant the five factors (job characteristic, workload, pay satisfaction, perceived alternative employment opportunity and perceived organizational support) affect turnover intention of accounting personnel in Johor Bahru.
The survey will be conducted based on primary data which through self administered questionnaire. The questionnaire will be distributed to 200 account personnel in Johor Bahru and self-selection sampling is used as a method to collect data. The time horizon for this research survey will be cross sectional as it is using shorter time span and study particular phenomena at particular time.
Next, demographic information in questionnaire collected will be complied and analyzed using descriptive statistic output such as frequency percentages, mean and standard deviation. While inferential analysis, multiple linear regression have been chosen as data analysis. Multiple linear regression has the ability to model multiple dependents and independents variables and handle multicolinearity among the independent variables. Before proceed to data analysis, assumption testing of normality test and reliability test will be conducted and must be fulfill.
Five suggested hypotheses were tested to know the relationship between the five factors and turnover intention. The study revealed that significant relationships were existed between job characteristic, workload, pay satisfaction, perceived alternative employment opportunity and perceived organizational support against turnover intention.
The findings would be a wealth for managers in Malaysia accounting sector to have better understanding of the needs and desires of employees, it is favorable to enhance the

factors which will affect the consequences of employee turnover intention, minimize the employee turnover intention in accounting sector.
