Title The study of business process improvement for cash flow management / Lai Kok Uei
Abstract The study for the Business Process Improvement for Cash Flow Management for Cash Flow Management team. The objectives of this questionnaire survey were to identify the level of understanding and satisfaction of the parties and their counterpart’s job responsibilities under existing Cash Flow Management Process, the efficiency of the existing Cash Flow Management Process and the need of improvement in the process, effectiveness of existing information system and national culture of counterpart’s impact in the Cash Flow Management Process. 70 questionnaires were distributed and 60 completed questionnaires were used for the analysis. The results were analyzed by determines mean, mode, median and standard deviations by using SPSS 18. Reliability and hypotheses testing were conducted. The results showed that respondees are understood their counterparts’ job responsibilities but frustrated with existing job responsibilities. The Respondees are familiar and very clear about business process but they always have conflicts when carry out their works. The existing Information System is sufficient for the Respondees to complete their works are requested, but process is too time consuming due to information system is up to date, and old information system is still in place, besides, the company under study is any multi-national company and multi race company, national culture is having some impact in terms of leadership and co-workers relationship, the respondees feel that they are affected by the national culture of their counterparts in the organization. The recommendations from this study were the company shall carry out Business Process Improvement for Cash Flow Management Process and also use non-work related activities to build up trust among staffs, create some communication channel with staffs for better understanding between staffs and the managements. External Resources shall be considered as think of the box ideas is important for continuity innovative and business sustainability. Well managed Cash Flow is an important process in every company and critical success factors too.
