Abstract
|
This research examined the relationship between leadership styles and employee turnover. There have total 4 leadership styles were studied: Autocratic Leadership, Democratic Leadership, Transformational Leadership and Transactional Leadership. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed to the employee who worked in confidential of apparel industry. Data analysis and findings showed that these leadership styles have significant impact towards employee turnover. Autocratic Leadership gives negative impact to employee turnover. Democratic Leadership, Transformational Leadership and Transactional Leadership give positive impact on employee turnover. Then, predictive model of leadership that affect employee turnover were established in this apparel industry. The predictive model helps the management to understand further the leadership as references in this industry is show as below: Employee Turnover = 0.641(Transformational Leadership) + 0.331(Democratic Leadership) – 0.70 (Autocratic Leadership) – 0.40 (Transactional Leadership) + 0.681
