Abstract
|
The purpose of this study paper is to study the smartphone usage that bring the risk to the banking that highly regards as protected by secured network environment and protecting smartphones against security threats involving human and technological factors. The case study is to find out how smartphone usage in the bank could bring unprecedented of risk from employee’s attitudes, perceptions and understanding of various element of risks. Four element of risks variables were tested, namely physical, application, internal and privacy risks. The study also reveal that relationship existed between element of risks variables with smartphone perceived usage risk variable. On our literature review, we identify the measurement of smartphone risk that influence employees’ security behaviours. We propose a suitable persuasive approaches plan that further enhance the existing policy and technological aspects in the bank. The factor influencing the smartphone risk usage revealed that perceived values of habit could affect the usage and usage behaviours towards the risk. A sample size of 50 questionnaires distributed to various departments in main HQ. The limitation is the employees might have answered the questionnaire by themselves and open to a range of response biases. Therefore, several recommendations were highlight for future study to understand further the cause-and-effect relationship between the smartphone user attitude and the risk.
