Title The study of the factors that will improve the quality by reducing errors in packaging processes in company XYZ / Yong Kwee Kiang.
Abstract This paper research intends to study how to improve quality in a food manufacturing company in Johor by reducing errors in the packaging processes. Therefore, the objective is to determine the significant of four factors (training on date printing procedure, using the correct outer-bag design size for specific use, machine adjustment and standard operating procedure (SOP) instructions) through a quantitative method using survey questionnaire responded by 65 participants. Data collections were analysed using descriptive and statistical analysis. The study revealed that the hypotheses training and machine adjustment were supported while both identifying and using the correct-outerbag design size for specific use and SOP instructions were not supported. The research study also described on ISO 9001:2015 and lean manufacturing concepts as an improvement on quality. Recommendations are provided on correcting the lack of outerbag design size identification and on SOP instructions and explanation on the importance of training and its benefits that leads to quality improvement.
