Abstract
|
The purpose of this research study is to survey the factors affecting consumer spending decision towards organic food products in Ipoh. The level of satisfaction with the price value, taste, environmental concern, nutritional value, and organic certification and labelling of organic products were examined. This research was conducted in two supermarkets targeting consumers who visit the supermarkets. There are 120 consumers participated in the survey. Consumers were chosen randomly. Questionnaires was employed as a measurement tool. Data were analysed and interpreted by using SPSS Statistic. The reliability test was carried out by using Cronbachs Alpha with a value 0.92. The results indicated that the consumers possessed positive attitude towards organic food products in their daily life. Most of them had experience with the benefits of consuming organic food products. However, the premium price had lower their adoption of organic food products in their daily life. Lastly, suggestion are made regarding the level of consumption and the benefit of consuming organic food products
