Abstract
|
The study was explores trust-in supervisor, leader-member exchange theory and
demographic factors that effecting the job satisfaction. Human resources
developments are important for the service industry. It is include the skills
development and skills transfers to maintain organization competitiveness and
sustainable growth. Higher trust in supervisor would lead the employees to built
better leader-member exchanges. The open and effective communication between
employees and supervisor are essential for the organization operation, Low quality
relationship leader-member exchanges would face lack of trust, esteem and support
from supervisor and negative feeling on the co-worker cooperation and
organizational identification. Questionnaires trust in supervisor, LMX-7 and job
satisfaction are used for the study. Hypothesis test carried out to examine the
relationship between trust in supervisor, leader-member exchanges and job
satisfaction. From the responds, hypothesis tests was carried out and found that there
are positively relation between trust in supervisor, leader-member exchanges and job
satisfaction. However, it is found that age, tenure and education are not related to job
satisfaction. From the findings, the number of satisfied respondents is higher than the
unsatisfied respondents. This is not different from the high turnover situation faced bt
the organization. This is concluded that the sample or responds received from this
study does not sufficient to represent the exact high turnover rate of the employees.
