Abstract
|
The study will discuss the immediacy and frequency constructive feedback in increasing motivation towards English speaking. This is viewed from the students’ perspectives as teachers or instructors that teach them the language in classroom contribute to the students’ motivation in speaking the language, English language especially during a teaching and learning process. Therefore, this study will provide the understanding that teachers’ behavior could compliment students’ increased motivation in learning English language during the teaching and learning process in their respective classroom thus would complement their proficiency in speaking in English language. This research is conducted to a 227 final year bachelor degree students of a private higher learning institutions from five schools; School of Business and Management, School of Engineering Technology, School of Built Environment and School of Computing and Creative Media. The research found out that there is a relationship between immediacy constructive feedback with students’ instrumental motivation and also that there is an influence of immediacy constructive feedback towards students’ instrumental motivation in speaking English language. Therefore, the research concluded that providing immediacy constructive feedback is an essential tool in a teaching and learning process especially in boosting students’ instrumental motivation in speaking in English language.
