Abstract
|
Due to the the rapid growth of Internet technology, online retailing was created many years ago and is increasing in its adoption by many consumers. According to the research done by eMarkerter (2015), the global consumers are expected to spend USD 1.762 trillion in year 2015 on online retailing which accounted 7.3% of the total worldwide retail sales. China sits the first placing in the global online sales transaction volume (USD 672.01 billion), followed by the United States (USD 349.06 billion) and United Kingdom at the third placing (USD 99.39 billion). It is no doubt that online retailing medium is profitable and has grabbed a big piece of cake in the intense and competitive retail market. Many consumers have switched to purchase online compared to the conventional brick and mortar store due to the various benefits offered by online retailing website, such as time-saving, informative description, comparison allowed, doorstep delivery, hassle-free shopping experience and many more. More retailers have ventured their online website in order to cope with the increasing demand of consumers.
