Abstract
|
This study aims to identify the factors leading to increased employee engagement level in Maha Chemicals. Employee engagement level in organization becomes a primary determinant of organizational success or even survival. Several well known survey and research organizations had conducted numerous researches and concluded that there is a strong correlation between employee engagement levels and financial performance. Researches had manifested high engagement employees can increase productivity which will increase the total shareholder return.
To conduct this research, a twelve-question survey from Gallup consulting company is applied to identify the current engagement level of the employee. Several main factors were examined according to the Nitin Vazirani (The Dean in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource at Sies College of Management Studies) in order to identify the top engagement drivers of Maha Chemicals.
The finding of the study will help Maha Chemicals identify their position in their employees’ mind and assist the organization to reevaluate and reassess their human management direction or current engagement strategy. In mean time, hopefully it will shed some light on other related organization as a model towards the effort to optimize employee engagement on their individual organizations.
