Abstract
|
This study is about a general topic that have become a debate among the organizations, academics and business industry about the value of using social media networking in workplace. This study is about the effect of using social media networking in workplace. With this topic engaged there many different views where some consider using social media network is an advantage or improvements to jobs or even some claims that there is negative impact on it. In this study there will be several variables that will be used to examine the effect of social media networking. The variables are like the job performance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, absenteeism, turnover intention and innovative behavior that have close relationship to use of social media network in workplace. Based on appropriate literature review, research model and hypothesis was developed to see the effect of the social media networking. This study will be conducted in Klang Valley; Malaysia has been test the six independent variable against the dependent variable. Where the six dependent have shown a positive relationship with the social media network and all the six hypothesis has it with using social media network in workplace. Even there are three significant variables are closely related to the dependent like turnover intention, absenteeism and job performance. This shows the variables are close related to the employee`s usage of social media network in a positive and negative way. Discussion of the results along with the conclusion and recommendation are also presented.
