Abstract In today’s wafers fab industry faced the major losses/wastage that happened in the manufacturing operation. The losses/wastage mainly due to wafers scrap, low yield and reworks. All these relevant to the quality of the equipment maintenance activities to drive for zero defect zero exclusion through the improvement process of TPM. The equipment machine maintenance becomes very important, critical and more challenging in this wafer semiconductor business environment. To improve the quality product yield, lower operation cost and reduce the process cycle time. The equipment tools uptime stability, PM success rate and PM survival rate very important factor to reduce the waste and rework, this will indirectly help to achieve the quality, cost and cycle time goal. The research study the factor of TPM to reduce waste and rework the objective is to identify the IV (independent variables) and DV (dependent variable) have positive relationship toward the waste and rework. They are several action plan has been proposed to reduce the waste and rework, first, to build up the team work and team spirit for the employees because team spirit play very important role in this organization, it will help to improve the employees morale and more active to participate to reduce waste and rework. The employees need a proper guidance to achieve the organization goal. First the HR training have to design specific OJT training program, to design refresher training program by eLearning, and creating Training incentives. Second, the SOP work instruction also play very important role to sustain the leaning and apply, to creating a Mobile APPs for the SOP platform and creating Visual (Video and image) SOP documentation. Third, apply Quality Control approach to Spare part Inventory and JIT system approach to ensure the work flow cycle time become better.
