Title Factors affecting consumer decision in online purchasing of customize apparels. / Chong Chee Seong.
Abstract Online shopping in apparel retailing in Malaysia is growing rapidly and customizing apparel retailing is still new compared to ready - made apparel. The unlimited online marketplace benefits those retailers in the customize apparels if they can identify the factors influencing consumer decision in online purchase. With this, the research and study aims to understand and examine the relationship between the quality factors of online shopping and the motivation of online shopping in Malaysia to customize apparel retailing. The key objectives are to evaluate the relationship between online shopping quality factors “Web Design, Security, Service Quality, Environment and Personalization” and “Online Shopping Motivation” with online customize apparel retailing. In addition, the research also like to understand the “Demographic Profile” factors influence to the “Online Shopping Motivation”. The research design based on quantitative approaches and use primary data methods for new data collection through survey questionnaire method. Total 110 questionnaires will be distribute via the electronic link via the social media application of Email and WhatsApp to respondents from various parts of Malaysia and expect the distribution and collection process to complete within 3 to 4 weeks. Upon receiving, back all the required survey questionnaires, which meet the defined minimum sample size of 60 respondents. The next step is to translate the data from quantitative to interpretive data by applying different types of data analysis tool and technique. For this research, the chosen data analysis tool use for data analysis is SPSS version 21 with specific technique such as Reliability analysis, Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis and Hypothesis test to analyze the result. Once the data analyze process completed with the finding on the influence between those variables. We can use the result to discuss the implication, limitations, suggestion and conclusion for the benefit of online customize apparel retailers to use the finding information and take actions accordingly to improve business. Furthermore, the finding also will be useful for future researcher reference.
