Abstract
|
The objective of this study is to recognize contributing factors towards the performance of company ABC which is an oleo chemical based industry. This articles discussed briefly on the various factors including internal and external factors which have an impact on the oleo chemical organisation performance. Basically, internal factors are identified as organisation strategies, organisation leadership/ management style and organisation culture. Meanwhile, external factors can be categorized as general (e.g. government and socio culture ) and task environment (customers, resources and competitors/ business environment ). Each identified factors by some means is helping the organisation to face stiff challenges from the business environment which is essential for the organisation survival. Some of the business strategies’ “buzz words” such as joint venture strategy, cost reduction strategy, differentiation strategy, value chain analysis are discussed in this study. In the meantime, a brief discussion of the organisation internal capability, organisation daily operation, organisation business environment and others are made and supported by application of various analysis tools (e.g. PEST, SWOT etc) and illustrative diagrams.
