Abstract
|
This project is about the tough competition faced by local commercial banks in
the banking industry in the wake of the liberalization of the financial sector by the
central bank i.e. Bank Negara Malaysia as more banking licenses will be given
out to foreign banks to operate and open branches.
The progress made in the banking industry under the blueprint formulated by the
central bank towards the financial reform will be shown in this project.
Past literatures and journals will be reviewed and analysed. A proposed
framework linking quality products and quality service to customer relationship
management in the banking industry which leads to customer retention and
loyalty will be constructed. With an effective customer relationship management,
the competition faced by the local commercial banks can be mitigated
