Title Improving teamwork through teambuilding : an evaluation study / Ooi Kok Khiang
Abstract This research project is about the effectiveness of teambui lding programme in improving the per formance of product ion floor workers. The diverse background of these workers wi l l resul t in di fferent react ions. The per formance measurement in the quest ion is taken based on changes in communicat ion among the workers, working relationship, teamwork and productivity. Measurement in the above is taken via survey questionnaires seeking atti tude responses f rom the respondents. There are 3 surveys taken; prior to training, immediately after raining and 2 weeks after the training. As t ime is rather short , responses based on change in attitude as the resul t of the training is used rather than behavioural change. Questionnaires in both Engl ish and Malay are kept simple and close ended to enable product ion worker wi th low education level to respond accurately. A group of randomly selected 30 product ion operators took part in the survey. The questionnaires before and immediately after the training are exact ly the same, and easy comparison can be made based on the change in the respondents’ attitude.
