English proficiency and its impact on graduate unemployment have been major causes of concern in Malaysia. Many studies have been made on the low English proficiency in public universities but not many studies have been done on the English proficiency of private university such as Sunway University. As some of the unemployed graduates also come from private universities, there is a need to gauge the level of English proficiency in private universities and its impact on graduate employability as well.
