Abstract
|
The common misperception that schools are exclusively for students to learn and teachers to teach is a main contention. The fact that the teacher is also a learner entails a lifelong process of the progressive teaching and learning spectrum. This requires the teacher knowledge and skills to be upgraded and updated with current principles and methodologies that evolve with society changes. Only then, the dynamic needs of both the teacher and learners can be achieved. The research objectives require a teacher to identify and reflect on practices and lessons taught in classrooms to investigate insights into practices with an overview of teaching and learning performances. Reflective teaching assists in the teaching and learning strategies for enhancing and improving classroom knowledge and skills in the professional development of a teacher for the betterment of the pupils.
