Abstract
|
This thesis entitled “A STUDY OF ABSENTEEISM WITHIN DEM Draexlmaier, ITS CAUSES AND THE MANAGEMENT OF IT” is an investigation into the extent of within DEM Draexlmaier, the causes of it, the consequences that it presents and the actions taken by the management in order to combat it. The author is working this organisation for the past 4 years. Throughout this time, her role has included monitoring, recording and initiating efforts to combat absenteeism in the company. As a result, she is prompted to choose this area of study.
The initial section of this thesis will deal with what is already known about the topic.
The primary research will be conducted in the form of a questionnaire. The latter, attempts to highlight absenteeism in DEM Draexlmaier and also suggests ways in which policies may be reviewed in order to strive for zero-tolerance level of absenteeism within DEM Draexlmaier.
