Abstract This is my research project study, in order to complete my MBA, this will be my final research project paper and this research title was discussed public perception toward the shift of commodity based economy to knowledge-based economy. I decided to investigate this title due to our current economy situation and the problem facing by commodity market. As an economical Malaysian we tend to discuss the question of whether regions provide the relevancy of the system and how a reference of knowledge-based economy develops by the system. Present economy conversions are government and private sectors relations, and at several levels can be considered as a transformation in industry organization. The awareness of transforming commodity based economy toward knowledge-based economy will constructed advantage in Malaysia economy will be explained further. This research paper is studying the Public in Malaysia understanding and their awareness of the performant of commodity based economy, knowledge-based economy and their understanding the role of education and the government on this matter. This study is also in the knowledge-based economy focus, which the focus is not only on the on human capital, but also it is also on the on the sectoral features of the knowledge factor that will compromise to the better growth for Malaysia. In this research, the important of the shift of the commodity based economy to the knowledge-based economy were discuss. The factors that will contribute to the improvement of Malaysian economic overall and will see the improvement on the Gross National Income. Besides that, the studies show the significant of knowledgeable people.
