Title Factors affecting on high expiry chemical / Tan Li Chin
Abstract The main objective of this research study is to reduce or minimizing on hazardous waste which generated by XLP Company to prevent pollution of the environment as a result of improper control of the disposal of hazardous substances such as chemicals. There are total five hypotheses were suggested and tested among the employees who directly involve in chemicals usage in paired dyad. In general, the results of the collected data from questionnaires are support the formulated hypotheses listed in this research study. The study also revealed strong significant relationships were existed within those factors affecting on high expiry chemicals. There are total five measureable variables i.e. Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), long lead time, uniqueness, inconsistency of demand and ownership are the crucial aspects that determine the efficiency and achievement of the environmentally sustainable businesses in reducing the chemical wastages. High expiry chemicals were found to be strongly related to “Ownership”. As human-centered environmental stewardship worldview play a vital role to bring down the hazardous waste effectively. “Environmental stewardship” leader have a strong instinct of environmental ethical responsibility to be caring, responsible and stewards of the earth. They will advocate on environmentally beneficial forms of economic growth and discourage environmentally harmful forms. In fact, the study presented numerous inventory management methodologies, green supply chain process and others total quality management strategies for the XLP Company’s management team to re-strategize on their business improvement plan on Environmental programs by present a better impression on “Green Company” as per Environmental Aspect Impact Register by give full support on preventing on depletion of Natural resources as well as self regulatory initiative for fulfil “Environmental Quality Act” Regulatory requirement. Hence, this will directly lead to cost saving opportunities and increasing efficiency of resources. Besides that, this is one of the market strategies for gaining market share in meeting customer or industry requirements.
