Abstract
|
Online shopping is nothing new to the consumers in modern and most of the western countries. This trend of online shopping had been followed and booming in Malaysia. More and more companies are seeing the future trends would be online shopping as the online shopping able to offer products at lower price and save the precious time of the consumers to travel to the shop and also make away the need to be physically there to look and understand the product or service and delivery right to the door step. However, not many consumers are confidence and like this concept of online shopping. This study aims to study and identified the factors that will affect the confidence level of consumers toward online shopping. A quantitative analysis is done with a total respondent of 74. Trusted Brand, Service Quality and Protected Transaction were the factors that have positive correlation with the consumer’s confidence level. In addition, factors such as the protection level of the transaction and the trust consumers had towards the brand of the company with the protected transaction been the most influential. Outcomes from the analysis can beneficial to the companies that offered online shopping. They can make use of the information to further boost or attract new potential customers as well as to retain the current customers. Other parties may use this as a platform to investigate further factors that will influence online shopping and to come out if the mitigation plans to promote online shopping in the right direction.
