Abstract
|
The purpose of this project is to investigate the impact of knowledge management (KM) on product innovation in semiconductor firms. The questionnaire survey method was used to validate influencing factors of product innovation: (a) rewards system; (b) training; (c) information technology (IT); and (d) organization culture. Base on the mentioned influencing factor, the four suggested hypotheses were tested among the engineers as knowledge-workers in semiconductor firms. Generally, the results of the collected data reject the formulated hypotheses. The study also revealed that no relationships between the four independent variables and dependent variable. Essentially, the research presents guidelines for the organization to make critical decision in order to achieve innovation, reduce knowledge-worker turnover rate, career satisfaction and promote organizational commitment toward product innovation.
