Abstract Success of an organisation highly dependent on the people who are working for it. To achieve the organisational goals and objectives, teams of efficient and effective employees are needed. For every team and every department there will be people who are leading the team as well as those who are the member of the team that takes guidance and instructions from their leaders who are assigned to lead the team members into working towards achieving organisational goals. With this, leaders with vast experience and high leadership capabilities are required in the organisation to run their daily operations successfully. A capable leader can bring the team and organisation towards success. But, there are many types of leadership styles are being practised by current leaders. Not all leadership styles have positive effect on their subordinates, the wrong leadership styles may cause harm to the subordinate’s job satisfaction level, which will lead to unproductive subordinates. This paper will examine the role of 3 different leadership styles being practised by current leaders. It is crucial to know which leadership has the strongest influence on subordinates in an organisation as this will contribute towards enhancing their job satisfaction and productivity which directly will contribute towards the profit of an organisation. Four variables are used in this study, Job Satisfaction is the dependent variables and Transformational leadership, Autocratic leadership and Participative leadership are the independent variable. Primary data were collected using google questionnaire form, 100 questionnaires were collected out of which 80 questionnaires were selected out for analysis purpose. The result of the analysis is explained to facilitate understanding of the relationship between the job satisfaction with Transformational leadership, Autocratic leadership and Participative leadership. The analysis showed Transformational leadership to have the strongest influence on Job Satisfaction followed by Participative leadership however, according to the analysis Autocratic leadership has negative relationship with Job Satisfaction. The possible reasons for Autocratic leadership to have negative relationship with Job Satisfaction are given in the Chapter 5. Towards the end of Chapter 5 the limitations of this paper are given as well as a few recommendations for future studies.
