Abstract
|
In today’s competitive corrugated manufacturing industries, companies are concerned in reducing price with limited error in their goods. To achieve that, efficiency, high productivity and top notch quality control system is essential. Quality control is an important element in costs control, lower or no rework, work standardization, and training as in many instances result showing a strong relationship between quality and profitability. Good perception in quality will result in customer loyalty and retentions.The selection of this study by researcher in conducting study of corrugated carton manufacturing organization, which are facing the high market volatility in a very high price competitive with low profit margin. In the study, researcher is focusing on root causes of poor product quality which lead to low profit margin. The recommendation and conclusion will aid the organization an in-depth understanding of waste reduction and profit maximization.Pursuing quality product and market share is what make an established company to be successful, is the mirror of waste elimination. Waste generation will lead to an extremely successful company fall and in the long run, moral of employees drops. Aside from waste reduction programs, each company should continuously improve their manufacturing process and cost cutting in better manageable contexts.
