Abstract
|
The fast growth of cloud computing has made it one the most hype and trend of technology over the internet. There are many different definition of cloud computing, one of it is; cloud computing is a combination of a technology, platform, hosting provider and also an application hosted as a service. To be able to save cost has force the management to seek new methods such as cloud computing that are much cheaper but produce the same or better result than traditional servers. This study explores the perception and acceptance of cloud computing application in Malaysia. With the help of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) based upon additional construct of users actual experience and security factors as the external variables in predicting the acceptance of cloud computing. This paper aim to help users and manager to be able to make a decision based on the statistical information regarding the users’ perception and acceptance of cloud in their work or daily life. The external variables of experience proved not to be strong indicators of cloud use. However, Security factors proved to be a strong influence on users acceptance of cloud computing.
