Abstract
|
ְ This paper aims to study the factors influencing consumers acceptance towards QR code mobile payment system in Malaysia. As an introduction, some briefing and introduction on the QR code mobile payment system were discussed and how the QR code mobile system able to drive Malaysia towards cashless society. Six hypotheses were developed and tested using Chi-Square test, Spearman Correlation and Regression Analysis to identify the relationship between the six factors i.e. perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived security, perceived compatibility, perceived cost and subjective norms, against consumer acceptance on QR code mobile payment system. The research findings revealed that the six constructs used for hypotheses have significant relationship with consumer acceptance towards QR code mobile payment services. The last part of this research study presented the conclusion and implication the QR code mobile payment system adoption and how it is able provide valuable insights to Malaysia regulators and industry players in formulating their business strategies by relying on this new payment technology acceptance. The limitation for this study and proposal for future research were discussed in order to derive a holistic view on QR code payment adoption in Malaysia context.
