5203 \a This study was intended to study the talent employee retention in oil and gas industries. The oil and gas industry is growing fast rapidly in global market in due to highly demand of oil and gas in pass 15 years. The change of oil and gas industries are easily reflected in the oil price movement in pass few years. Employees’ turnover in this industry has increased significantly. Talent employees are the highly targeted by local and overseas jobs employment agencies are those talent workers as these are the people who are classify as the most demanded professional and skillful workers who these groups of workers are offered by attractive remuneration and working environment by others.. In this study, total 108 employees of a local oil and gas organization participated in this study. Descriptive analysis was utilized to determine and summarize the significant differences on the level of motivation and retention between both sectors. The finding indicates that lacking of latent motivation has significant, positive and direct influenced on employees latent retention. By exploring the job satisfaction and management perception on employee career development as a indicator variable for motivation factors; employees loyalty level and turnover intention as another set of variables as retention factors. The final result finding suggested the management must immediately formulate and implement employee retention management plan and strategies.
