Abstract
|
The purpose of this research is to study how to set-up a new packaging (thermoforming) manufacturing plant and its constraints and at the same time to understand the moral and motivational level of workers who are involved in the setting-up, start-up. This gives a clear overall picture of how workers perceive their company, work condition, satisfaction level on number of areas. This was captured in the questionnaire given to them. The research focuses on the steps and requirement that must be adhered when setting-up a manufacturing, specific to packaging (thermoforming) manufacturing plant. From this understanding it would be much a good standard benchmark when there is a need to build more new manufacturing plant in Malaysia applying the same methodologies as made known in this research study. The questionnaires results also would give the top management of company of the future expectation of how workers should be treated whenever they start a new manufacturing plant, provide solution for constraints for issues noted in this study. This makes an excellent strategic plan and action for future plant sets-ups.
