| 520 | 3 | | \a Technology advancement can be seen in many areas of our life. The possibilities it brought are endless and had influenced the way people work and live. More and more people are been exposed and use Information Technology (IT) tools in their everyday life such as computers, smartphones or smart TVs. Those devices can allow us to obtain entertainment but most importantly to communicate. From business point of view communication can be the means of doing business, to convey message or to place or receive order. Therefore e-commerce will bring many benefits to an organisation and government hope many SMEs in Malaysia will follow suit to adopt it. Five influential factors are proposed to study their relationships with the adoption of e-commerce. The research design consists of quantitative analysis based on the feedback through questionnaires. All variables showed to have correlation while two out of five variables were revealed to be strongly dominant to the adoption of e-commerce. Those two are Owner’s Characteristics and Perceived Benefits. These findings would contribute to the parties that provide those e-commerce services to businesses. Information from this study can be used to further understand the fear or concern of why e-commerce is not yet been easily accepted and implemented. This also can be used as a platform to further study on new possible influential factor or in depth study of the influential factors of this study. |
