Abstract
|
The purpose of this study is to come out with a list of factors that affect the high staff turnover in the wealth management segment in consumer banking in Malaysia. Six hypotheses were tested and the results show that all six have an impact on the subject matter. Essentially, this research finding is important for top management of the banking industry in Malaysia to understand further the reasons behind such a trend and to be able to come out with solutions to retain existing good staff. In other words, this research is important to provide critical information to top management in their human resource strategic planning to ensure the bank remains competitive and relevant in this challenging market environment.
