Abstract
|
Online shopping has shown an incredible increasing trend in Malaysia. Despite the high potential growth, there is still a lack of understanding concerning the subject matter and its potential impact on consumer marketing. The aim of this research study is to establish a preliminary assessment on the potential factors impacting consumer attitude towards online shopping as well as the online shopping intention in Malaysia.Convenience sampling method was conducted in this study and the sample comparison of 101 Malaysians whom reside and are working or studying in the state of Penang. Data were collected via self-administrated questionnaires and various statistical techniques including descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, the ANOVA test and regression analysis were used to test the hypotheses.The review shows that consumers expectation towards online shopping realized in most of the cases, but consumers concerns over the four independent variables have pose detrimental effect on the future growth of online shopping in Malaysia.
