Abstract
|
Bankruptcy Companies are companies which are experiencing financial difficulty and
losses. In many cases they are unable to pay their debts and subsequently apply for
bankruptcy protection under Bankruptcy Act 1967.
This paper will investigate the relationship between organisation change and employee turnover of bankruptcy companies. It will address the personal attributes, in term of work experience, educational level, and expectation to the company which contributes to the decision to leave a bankruptcy organisation. This research aims to identify those factors contribute to high employees’ turnover in bankruptcy companies so that appropriate measures can be taken by these companies to effectively controlling their employees’ turnover. Samples size from the population was represented by the employees have been or currently being working in a company had been or currently being protected by bankruptcy Act and convenient sampling is used for this research. This study will be conducted under natural environment using cross sectional study where data will be gathered from willing respondents in Penang.
The findings concluded that occupation (work experience), individual (rewards
and incentives) and organisation (size and work environment) are important factors and
determinants to employees’ turnover rate.
