Abstract
|
The purpose of the study paper is study the acceptance of Internet of thing in access control system in guarded and gated community area. The case study will base on a sample collected from Klang Valley no matter staying landed house or condominium. Five elements of variable will be tested, namely risk awareness, security awareness, security expectation, personal privacy and product performance. On the literature review, different type of security product has a brief introduction. From the feature of security system, the input for internet of thing will be study. There are different types of users, sensors and process can integrate into the security system with internet of things. A questionnaire is constructed to collect the perception of residents on the security system. It was target at least 120 questionnaires to be collected to reduce the error while analysing the samples. Quantitative analysis is used to understand the percentage of residents understanding and demand of the access control system. Qualitative analysis through observation and discussion with people to understand the perception of peoples on access control system. Since technology will change the way of people living, the need and expectation of residents will be study and identify. Resident will be more cooperate and change if they accept the system. It will provide the basic of integration internet of things with residents. Several recommendations were introduce for the further study and design on the access control system.
