This study was done to investigate the OSH awareness among the employees of the manufacturing company. Total of 96 employees were participated in this survey.
The results were analysed by determines mean, mode, median and standard deviations according to the demographic and 15 questionnaires. The results showed that the higher OSH awareness was achieved for the aspect of individual responsibility.
The results showed that there is a different between production and non-production (Supporting) in the OSH awareness. Production departments show higher awareness compare to supporting staff. The recommendation from this study were further bring up the awareness to the supporting workers, but at the same time also to the production staff due to accident happened at the production department.
The analysis showing longer service employees (senior) having low awareness compare to the newly joined (junior). This may due to senior workers too complacent or immune to the current working condition whereby less attention been given to the OSH matters. This can be improved by putting more training and re-training to the OSH subjects. Lastly, the management showing higher OSH awareness compare to operators. As such, the management shall communicate more to the lower level as the factory accident majority happened to the operators in the organization.
