Abstract
|
Online shopping has grown leaps and bounds in the past five years as compared to the earlier days. Besides the big foreign online shopping companies, there are many small entrepreneurs operating their online shopping website in Malaysia. Regardless of the popularity of online shopping, there are still a group of internet users that do not shop online.
This research is aim to study the perception and expectation on online shipping from the area of privacy policy, security, and general perception of what online shopping website should provide as well as what are the reasons that cause online shopping visitors to buy or not buy the product via the website. This research analyses and compares if there are differences between these two groups. This study has further unveiled the demographic characteristic of the two groups to see if demographic is a determinant of online shopping factor besides highlighting the categories of products that the online shopping adopters and non-adopters would most preferred to purchase.
