Abstract
|
The topic was selected by researcher to conduct study in an organization, a multinational company that the researcher is working with. The objective of the study is to explore and understand the current status of Total Productive Maintenance implementation within the organization. It was found that the plant operational efficiency and performance have been inconsistent and difficult to sustain achievable best productivity, efficiency as well as product quality. The study also focuses on factors affecting implementation of Total Productive Maintenance. Survey was carried out with questionnaires and respondents provide their reply base on their understanding about Total Productive Maintenance. On the other hand, in the questionnaire, respondents also provided their feedback on four major factors, organization culture, management support, information technology infrastructure and improvement practices. At the end of questionnaires, respondents are free to share their opinion on challenges of Total Productive Maintenance implementation. All survey result and data were collected and analysed in order to proceed with summary of findings, conclusion and recommendation on Total Productive Maintenance implementation at Terreal Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
