Abstract
|
The objective of this research study was to identify the key success factors to
achieve greater project performance for a company that doing HVAC business,
primary in the offshore marine industry of which was not performing well. Based on
past researcher’s findings in other industries, this research study use hypotheses to
test whether the associations of critical success factors to project performance could
be replicate to the company. The research found that the associations exist between
the ten selected critical success factors and project performance. The key success
factors were then inferred from five contributing factors with the highest correlation
scores. These key factors include communications, technical tasks, monitoring
and feedback, trouble-shooting and customer consultation. The research also
obtained five keys ways to improve the project performance that could help the
company achieving greater performance. In addition, from the respondents’
feedback, the key ways of improvement applicable for the company include
learning from the past, monitoring ongfocus on project goals.
